General Program Grants

 

I AM CALLING FROM ... OHIO, MISSISSIPPI, FLORIDA, ETC. AM I ELIGIBLE TO APPLY TO THE JEROME FOUNDATION?

The Jerome Foundation funds artists and nonprofit arts/cultural organizations located in the state of Minnesota and the five boroughs of New York City. The address of the applicant must be a permanent legal address. Some organizations have multiple office sites. For the Jerome Foundation's purposes, the primary business office of the organization must be located in New York City or Minnesota. In general, at least 51% of the artists who benefit from Jerome Foundation funded program must be residents of New York City or Minnesota.

WHEN IS THE DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS?

In the Jerome Foundation's general program of assistance to nonprofit organizations, one may apply at any time. There are no deadlines. The Foundation does not fund retroactively, so proposals should take that into account. The Travel & Study Grant program is limited to residents of Minnesota. There is one deadline per year, usually in the late winter. You may place your name on a mailing list to receive program information by notifying the Jerome Foundation office.
There is no deadline for application to the New York City Film and Video program. Apply at any time. The Foundation reviews proposals on a first come, first served basis. There are three review rounds per year, so please allow four months for review of a proposal. The Minnesota Film and Video program has been operating on a one deadline per year basis, usually early in the calendar year. If you wish to be placed on a mailing list to receive the information when it is available, please notify the Jerome Foundation office.
