Eligibility Quiz: General Program Grant

Are you an emerging creative artist(s) living in the state of Minnesota or the five boroughs of New York City?
Is the purpose of the application to support the development and production of new work created by you?

The Jerome Foundation prioritizes support for programs, projects, and activities that focus on the creation, development, and production of new works by emerging artists.

Are you and/or your ensemble seeking support from the Foundation through a fiscal sponsor?

Individual artists interested in applying to the General Program must have a fiscal sponsor. Individual artists may only apply directly to the Film and Video and Travel and Study Programs.

Are you the originating artist who has creative control over the new work that is the focus of the application?

The Jerome Foundation only offers fiscal sponsored grants to the originating artist with creative control over the creation of new works.

Do you represent a nonprofit arts organization with its primary office in the state of Minnesota or the five boroughs of New York City?

The Jerome Foundation restricts its funding to Minnesota and the five boroughs of New York City. The Foundation requires that organizational applicants have their primary office and operations based in one of those two areas. Individual artists applying with a fiscal sponsor must be a legal resident.

Does your organization and/or one or more of its programs focus on the creation, development, and production of new works by emerging artists and/or direct services to emerging artists?

The Jerome Foundation prioritizes support for programs, projects, and activities that focus on the creation, development, and production of new works by emerging artists, representing a deep and sustained engagement between the artist and the organization.

You qualify!

The Jerome Foundation ordinarily makes fiscal sponsored grants that support the creation of new works by emerging choreographers, and to a lesser degree, emerging composers, playwrights, performance artists, experimental ensembles, and multidisciplinary creators. The Foundation generally does not makes fiscally sponsored grants to visual artists and literary artists. Please speak with Foundation staff about your particular situation and proposal.
